You’ve probably heard the saying that “you never get a second chance to make a first impression” and nowhere is this more true than in a job interview which is why learning how to dress for a job interview is critical if you want to have the best chance possible of landing a job.

The very first thing you must focus on is neatness. You general appearance, though out of place with reality, impacts significantly on the overall outcome of your interview. Make sure that all your clothes are ironed and clean the day before an interview as interviewers will definitely have their eyes set on that. First impressions last longest, so do not ruin your chances by neglecting this aspect of neatness.

Generally the job you are being interviewed for must determine how you dress. What I mean to say is that you cannot go to an interview for a position as a car mechanic dressed in a suit and tie. Another example would be going for an office job interview dressed like a mechanic; dressing has to be as relevant as possible.

Make sure you are in your most comfortable outfit. The comfort that a certain outfit gives you determines a lot of things. For starters it determines the level of confidence with which you enter the interview room. It also determines your level of comfort, as well as your general facial appearance.
